Kick-off for the Democracy Initiative BC4D at Wilkhahn

Democracy is not a given – it needs our committed engagement.

That’s why Wilkhahn supports the Business Council for Democracy (BC4D) – an initiative by the Hertie Foundation, the Robert Bosch Stiftung, and the Institute for Strategic Dialogue.

BC4D’s virtual training programs help adults equip themselves against hate speech, fake news, and conspiracy myths – by strengthening digital media literacy and fostering a constructive debate culture.

"Democracy means freedom and self-determination – values that also form the foundation for innovation and business success.

For us at Wilkhahn, it is therefore clear that a democratic environment ensures future viability – for companies and society alike.

That’s why I’m particularly excited about the huge interest in the BC4D program among our employees.

Right from the start, we were able to form a diverse group of 30 Wilkhahn colleagues who are eager to engage with these crucial topics," explain shareholders Gisela Hahne and Julia Wilkening-Martin.

Let’s stand together for a strong democracy and social cohesion – online and offline.
