At Milan Design Week 2026, Wilkhahn presents the exhibition “What the surface remembers” at Via Madonnina 17 in Milan’s Brera district. The show explores how materials reveal traces of time, use and environmental influence, with the WiChair as its central reference point.

Sculptural works by Japanese artist Aya Sasakura and photographic works by German photographer Frank Schinski offer complementary perspectives on surface, material and memory.
