Continental
With its new headquarters in Hanover, tyre manufacturer Continental has consolidated its administration into a single campus. Based on a design by HENN Architects, an ensemble of several buildings connected by a 70-metre-long bridge was created in the Marienwerder Science and Technology Park. The location on two plots of land shapes the architectural concept of a networked structure that promotes openness and exchange. Clear room sequences and transparent façades create orientation, while the interior design by Ippolito Fleitz Group combines open working landscapes with retreat zones – a flexible environment for concentrated and collaborative work.
The interior design focuses on openness, exchange and flexible structures: 1,200 workstations, half of which offer desk sharing, and around 60 meeting and conference rooms with over 600 seats illustrate how central personal dialogue remains at Continental. The facilities are complemented by a restaurant and two cafeterias – modern meeting places that contribute to the corporate culture. Wilkhahn is part of this pioneering project with over 1,000 high-quality ON swivel chairs.
