CEFIC

Belliard 40 by Art&Build Architects is a new build with lots of daylight in the heart of the European District in Brussels. Its central building provides offices for a number of organizations and associations. The European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic) appointed interior designers Captif (Antwerp) to integrate the various member organizations of the parent council coherently in a new office design. The interior designers chose an open working environment with rooms placed in the space to encourage an activity- and movement-based culture.

“We picked Wilkhahn’s products to furnish a lot of the spaces. The north-German manufacturer supplied a large, customized Graph table in an open rectangle format with rounded edging for the state-of-the-heart room in the conference center. The stylish conference chairs reflect this table format subtly in their backrests. We also added motion-stimulating seating, such as the Stand-up stool, the Metrik cantilever chair or the Occo conference chair in other areas too.”
