Brucity
The City of Brussels commissioned the construction of a new administrative center called Brucity. The building’s impressive glass facade suggests transparency to mirror the principle of contemporary democratic administration. The design of the spacious reception area, the workspaces and furniture in the plenary chamber were handled by Philippe Van der Velpen, interior designer at Procos. The building now has modern, multipurpose rooms that encourage all citizens of Belgium to take part in the democratic processes of this cosmopolitan city.
"Versatility and sustainability were important factors in terms of the interior design. We were seeking furniture that would look superb in the prestigious council chamber and be versatile too, while blending in aesthetically with the overarching concept. Which is why we picked Wilkhahn’s flexible and eco-friendly furniture."
