VR Bank Nord eG

This new build is by dl architekten PartG mbB for VR Bank Nord in Flensburg, Germany. The brick building is in keeping with the typical local style and impressive for the contrast between its dark, somewhat dignified exterior and the bright and dynamic interior. The central lobby is a 17-meter-tall, light-flooded atrium, with illuminated light rings that underscore the airy lightness of the space. Single flights of stairs cover the open space in the middle lead to spacious galleries all the way round, which provide access to the customer support spaces. Communication islands divide up these transit areas and provide opportunities for people to interact and stop for a quick chat.
