State Parliament Schleswig-Holstein
The representative brick building, home to the Schleswig-Holstein State Parliament since 1950, was originally constructed in 1888 as the Imperial Naval Academy. Between 2001 and 2004, it was complemented by a modern glass entrance to the plenary hall – a strong architectural symbol of transparency and democratic openness. After more than 20 years of intensive use, the previous Modus chairs have now been replaced. The decision to introduce new seating was driven not only by functional considerations but also by a deliberate design statement.
