Schouwen Civic Center

The Dutch island municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland modernised its council chamber in 2024 to create a representative and functional environment for the councillors. Under the direction of Leander Oostdijk from the architectural firm Kort Geytenbeek, a design was created that optimises the interior design, acoustics and technology of the civic hall. At the same time, Wilkhahn's Intra conference chairs provide dynamic and healthy seating comfort. Sustainability also played a key role in the modernisation: furniture that was no longer needed was given away and old materials were reused. The result is a modern centre of democracy in Schouwen.
