Wilkhahn is mentioned several times in the recently published edition of the iF design special on architecture & urban design. One of the items featured includes the 1200 bench system which was designed by Friso Kramer and won the iF design award in 1969.
A major retrospective entitled Frei Otto. Denken in Modellen (Frei Otto. Thinking in Models) on the ingenious architect and Pritzker prize winner is running at the ZKM Karlsruhe until mid-March. The showcase provides an in-depth view of the methods, work and sources of inspiration of Frei Otto who designed four famous production pavilions for Wilkhahn.
From 26 to 27 January the Faculty of Architecture at RWTH Aachen University brought German architects together to review architecture’s identity in the context of the place in which it’s located. A total of 32 architects were invited to present their standpoints on the subject, based on specific projects.
