Stefan Diez’s work is characterised by his consistent, often radical quest for new approaches. He goes above and beyond conventional design concepts and finds surprising solutions. The exhibition focuses on that decisive moment when new products are created. At MAKK these are shown in individual cells that are linked to generate space-filling exhibition architecture and each give insights into the key technical, design or concept-development moments.
The exhibition covers the last 15 years and alongside lighting, tables and accessories shows the Chassis chair range designed for Wilkhahn. The multipurpose chair is the first worldwide to come with a deep-drawn sheet steel frame that combines elastic comfort, superior durability and a fascinating design.
