Heimatmuseum Schliersee

The Schredl House in the heart of Schliersee from the early 15th century has been used as a local history museum for over 100 years. The local architect increased the size of the building by using a glass foyer to make the extension stand out from the old building. A kindergarten and a multipurpose function room on the top story are just two of the spaces incorporated in the extension.

The height of the gables and eaves in the historic building is the same in the extension, but instead of a balcony, a projecting structure with vertical wooden panels and slats provides shade for the event space, which is on the top story and Photo: Roger Barth
