Wilkhahn has made a big impression worldwide. Products by the renowned manufacturer from North Germany feature in three of the four projects that won Best of Year Awards in the Large Corporate Office category.
This event is a highlight in the American A&D community’s calendar and organised by Interior Design Magazine annually. 2019 was the 14th time the BoYs were presented. The key categories are projects and products in 136 areas of design and, in some cases, Wilkhahn products are encountered several times in three of the office projects that won accolades.
For example, Wilkhahn’s Graph conference chair was chosen for the new Western Union headquarters in Denver (Colorado), designed by Gensler. The project was selected as an honoree in the Large Corporate Office category. Graph also guarantees flexible sitting options during meetings at the headquarters of energy utility Woodside in Perth, Australia. This office, designed by Unispace, was chosen as a BoYs 2019 honoree. What’s more, Wilkhahn also demonstrates ergonomics and sustainability here in the shape of its classic FS Management line.
The winning award in the Large Corporate Office category was presented to a studio called Architecture + Information for its design of a New York financial services company. The presentation pavilion displays Wilkhahn’s Aula stacking chair, whose precise lines, elasticity and clever design are a superb match for the organically shaped room and it adapts to people’s bodies.
