Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2012

[01-30-2012] Hjärtlig välkommen!
Scandinavia is known all over the world for its top-class design. In addition to excellent aesthetics, established quality and innovative technology are considered of prime importance. At the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair Wilkhahn will be responding to the exacting demands Scandinavians place. It will showcase an office chair that pays for itself, a multi-purpose piece of furniture with a surprising variety of guises, as well as conference tables that are writing history.

Sitting still is no longer a synonym for a concentrated style of working. Science has confirmed that dynamic sitting on ON® also pays for itself quickly in financial terms too. Traditionally health-conscious Scandinavian visitors to the fair can see for themselves by trying out ON at their leisure on the Wilkhahn stand. The mix of technological innovation and top-rate design is also what sets multi-purpose chair Chassis apart. Presented in Stockholm with different coloured frames and textile covers, the chair is displayed in a number of different and exciting manifestations. And last but not least Wilkhahn demonstrates its expertise in furnishing conference spaces: traditional and prestigious table solutions with integrated multi-media equipment, to tables that can be folded or pivoted and are mobile. In terms of function they tick all the boxes and look outstanding too.

The fair's accompanying programme of events also has a lot to offer. One example is this year's "Hello" installation by Swedish designer Monica Förster and the accompanying discussion about the anatomy of new working environments. Burkhard Remmers, International Communications director at Wilkhahn, will also be part of a discussion here with renowned international architects and designers on February 8th.. The issue of green design will equally offer plenty of food for thought during presentations. The usage of biomimicry in product development, lean manufacturing processes and presenting the Green Furniture Award will be just some of the topics concerned.

Wilkhahn "design made in Germany" at the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair , hall A 42:29.  7 to 11 February 2012, opening times: Tue - Fri 9 am to 6 pm, Sat 9 am - 5 pm
