Exhibition in KAP AM SÜDKAI, Cologne: "Kristall-Transparenz-Stille Töne" ("Crystal - Transparency - Gentle Shades"), from January 14 - 20, 2008 [12-18-2007] The KAP am Südkai is organizing a unique as well as stimulating exhibition which coincides with the imm 2008. Whereas the International Furniture Fair, the largest furniture exhibition, will be showing current trends and future visions of furnishing design at the Cologne trade fair grounds, the companies which have joined together in the KAP Forum will be offering their visitors a completely different insight into the everyday world of offices from January 15 - 20, 2008. Under the motto "Crystal - Transparency - Gentle Shades", the display will show monochrome through-dyed wood-based materials enhanced by materials from One Thousand and One Nights that shimmer in the sunlight with all the colours of the spectrum - created through a symbiosis of brilliant colours by BASF, integrated into the wood-based material by Sonae Indùstria and finished with CRYSTALLIZEDT - Swarovski elements. This installation created by Katrin Neelsen can be experienced and admired in the KAP Forum. With this display, all those who are creative shall be stimulated to design a more exclusive world of interiors. On Monday, January 14, 2008, the magazine ELLE will be organizing the annual "ELLE DECORATION Event" in KAP am Südkai, together with the partners of KAP. Around 800 - 1,000 select guests have been invited from a wide circle of interests (architecture, design, press, economy, etc). In the following days of the "imm week", the KAP forum will be furnished with diverse Wilkhahn products. Behind the spacious, inviting window façade, an interesting scenario of Aline high tables and matching Aline bar / counter height stools has been set up completely done in white and chrome. Visitors will have the opportunity here to chat over coffee or to enjoy an informal round of discussions over a "Wilkhahn cocktail" later on between 6.30 and 9 pm.
