All in white: Wilkhahn at the Stockholm Furniture Fair, 08.-12.02.2006, Stand C17:20

[01-26-2006] The Stockholm Furniture Fair will be opening its gates at the Stockholm exhibition grounds from 8 - 12 February. With 750 high calibre exhibitors, the Fair has an excellent reputation as the largest Scandinavian fair for furniture and design.

Wilkhahn is devoting its exhibition performance this year to the theme of white. The focus will be on ranges which designer Andreas Störiko has developed for Wilkhahn. The Confair folding table range, and the Timetable and Logon table ranges, as well as Aline, the new stacking chair, will demonstrate how versions in white can transform the visual appearance and appeal of products, spanning the wide spectrum of office-oriented applications to products that are equally at home in a private setting.
The following will also be on view in white: the Modus and Neos swivel chairs (each designed by wiege) and the Stitz leaning aid (the design classic designed by Produktentwicklung Roehricht) and the DinA range of tables and storage units (design: Udo Schill, Timo Küchler).

Besides the Wilkhahn Stand (C 17:20), there will be an attractive and extensive supporting programme making a visit to the Swedish metropolis an absolute must.

  • The popular Greenhouse has become firmly established as a forum for young, independent designers and schools of design from all over the world. It will provide any trend scout with valuable inspiration.
  • After Patricia Urquiola and the Bourroullec brothers had designed the lounge in the foyer area of the Fair in recent years, internationally acclaimed Japanese designer Noto Fukasawa has been invited to do the honours this year. The presentation of this designer, who has worked for Muji, Apple, Artemide and B&B Italia to name but a few, has certainly already got our anticipation buzzing.
  • Last but not least, the city of Stockholm is always worth a visit for anyone interested in architecture and design. Visitors to the Fair will once again be well advised to get hold of the "Interni Stockholm Design Guide", which facilitates orientation by providing numerous tips on the Fair, the supporting programme and useful addresses.
