Award for furniture manufacturer from the AOK [Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung, 9-18-2001] Wilkhahn has received the yearly bonus of the "Gesundheitskasse Niedersachsen" (Health Fund, Lower Saxony) for the fourth time. Special point of merit: due to the effective measures for the promotion of health protection at work, the sickness rate has fallen in the previous ten years from ten to four per cent. The HAZ newspaper underlines that the positive effects which the award of the AOK contributions bonus had for all Wilkhahn staff. All members of the AOK scheme, working in the company, saved one twelfth of their total annual contributions. Working on the assumption that taking precautions is always more advisable than costly corrective measures, all areas such as management style and workers' participation in work processes are carefully scrutinized. back
